With Boxelders you can spray the bugs with soap and water (1 or 2 Tbsp of dish soap to a standard size spray bottle with water). The soap breaks down the hardened skin of the bug, causing the bugs cell membranes to deteriorate. Then the bugs dehydrate and die. Boxelders love Boxelder trees, hence the name. Hire an arborist to inspect all trees on your property to see if you have any Boxelder trees.
